Description
A commission of promo art for "Umket Industries Presents: The Dixie Stenberg and Brassy Battalion Adventure Theater," a great pseudo-old-time radio play available online and as a podcast. I used several client-provided references, and a couple I found on my own. Lots of looking at WWII propaganda posters, most of which are fantastic works themselves. And yes, that is a 48-star flag 
I was quite proud of myself for remembering that.
This may sound terrible, but I really, really hate drawing the U.S. flag. Next time, let me do something patriotic for a country that doesn't have a bajillion stars on it! How about you people in France or Italy? Your flags are way easier!

Wow, she's fantastic! I really love your shading, and the bold colors remind me of an old pulp cover, or the Rosie the Riveter-type motivational art of the time.
